Hi, I’m Robyn Beattie! I was born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta. Growing up, I was a
competitive dancer for 10 years and played rugby for 4 years. Now you might find me weightlifting at the gym, snowboarding, hiking, or on the golf course. Through an active lifestyle I have encountered many injuries and witnessed their impact on daily living. Thus, my passion for treatment began.
I am a Type 2 Manual Osteopathic Therapist and have previously worked as a Registered Massage
Therapist. A Manual Osteopathic Therapist is trained in the four main types of hands-on osteopathic subdisciplines: Osteo-Articular Adjustments, Fascial release, Cranial-Sacral techniques and Visceral Manipulation. Treatment of injuries, pain, acute or chronic conditions is completed through a systems assessment to determine the root cause, followed by targeted manipulation of joints and tissues.

Flavia graduated in Brazil with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy. Her passion for sport and fitness also drove her to a post-secondary diploma in Exercise Physiology. The highlight of her experience back in her home country was working with the Olympic athletes on the Brazilian National Rugby Team (no better way to perfect your practice than a competitive rugby team - if you know, you know).
The immigration process of coming to Canada also took Flavia down the path of a Fitness and Health Promotion Diploma. This led her to be a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, and kickboxing instructor in Ontario for a couple of years. Cool! Flavia now has her license to work as a Physiotherapist Intern in Canada, and she chose Edmonton to be the place where she lives and practices her hands-on physiotherapy style.
Flavia is the TP (total package) with certifications in Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Level 4 Functional Training Instruction, Injury Prevention, Pilates, Isostreching, and Movement Re-education, which gives her the skills and confidence to be able to treat all types of orthopedic and sports-related injuries.
Flavia is a former collegiate volleyball player and overall sporting enthusiast. Whether it’s soccer, skateboarding, aerial sports, equestrian, basketball, mountain biking, rugby, martial arts, CrossFit, or dancing, she’s doing it! Where does she find the time, you ask. No one knows! Outside of work, Flavia enjoys spending time with her husband and son doing all manner of outdoor activities. Wine and Brazilian Barbecue are another passion - even better if it’s accompanied by long chats and endless laughs.
If you’re looking for the experience and passion to help you exceed your own expectations, then look no further! Flavia is here and ready to help you achieve the pain-free movement you didn’t know was right around the corner.
